Is the rest of the uniform grey or black? Do they have to wear a polo shirt with the school logo on as well?

We ask that children come to school in their school uniform every day. This consists of the green jumper, cardigan or fleece (with or without logo) and a white polo shirt (with or without logo) as well as either grey or black trousers, shorts or a skirt. You can also purchase green or grey dresses. Grey or black tights and leggings are permitted when worn under skirts and dresses. I want my child to have milk at break times, how do I arrange this?

As you may be aware, school children under the age of 5 receive milk free of charge, however which is funded by The Department Of Health through The Nursery Milk Scheme. Once children reach the age of 5 this funding is withdrawn.

School Milk Services Ltd offers the service of delivering fresh milk to school children. If this is something you would like more information on, the link below will take you to the website where you can register for this service.

Can I use my mobile phone in school?

Parents, Carers, contractors other visitors:

• Parents and other visitors will be courteously requested, in the interest of child safety, to not to use their mobile phones in the school buildings or grounds.

• Mobile phones must never, in any circumstances, be used to take photographs in the school building or grounds.

• The only exceptions to this will be for some contactors, extra curricular activities, ( see both below), and in respect of curricular activities, at a celebration event , where, with the explicit permission of the teacher, a parent/carer may photograph their child’s work/display with the said child present .

• On arrival, parents and visitors will be informed of the School’s expectations around the use of mobile phones.

• Where contractors, or similar visitors, need to take photos of school buildings/equipment for work purposes they should first get the permission from the site manager/caretaker and ensure such photographs do not include any images of children.

Extra curricular activities

• It is recognised that parents/carers may wish to use mobile phones to take photographs during such extra curricular activities as school shows and sports days. Clear guidance will be given before such events on the use of mobile phones.

• Where parents/carers are permitted to photograph or video such school events on mobile phones they should try to ensure that only images of their own child are taken, and where this is not possible, the School will insist, that at all times, that parents/carers do not publish images (e.g. on social networking sites ) that include any children other than their own.
