Food & Drink in School
School Dinners
School Dinners cost £2.90 per day.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Free School Meals. School dinner choices are registered in the classroom daily at the same time as morning registration. Payment for school dinners should be made in advance via Arbor. This is the same system as used for school trip payments.
Guidance notes for new users of Arbor can be found here.
The current lunch menu is available here.
School Milk
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 can have a carton of milk every day. This is free when they are 4 years old. When children turn 5 years old, parents/carers need to pay for milk if they choose it for their child. All the information including how to order and pay can be found on the school milk service.

Other drinks in School
Children need a water bottle in school each day. Please ensure this is only filled with water, not juice, squash or fizzy drinks. Children are encouraged to refill their water bottles throughout the day.
Snacks in School
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are provided with a snack in school. They are offered a piece of fruit/veg and options of breadsticks and crackers. The fruit/veg is supplied to the school by the School Fruit and Veg Scheme and so is free to children. We ask families in these year groups to support us with donations of breadsticks and crackers for the children to share (if you are able to help with this please bring in a box of nut free crackers or breadsticks and pass to the class teacher who will share these out with the class). Children in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 need to bring a snack from home into school. Please ensure this is a healthy snack such as fruit, vegetables, crackers or breadsticks. Please ensure the snacks do not contain any kind of nut product.
Packed Lunches
Whilst we encourage children to have a hot school meal during the day, we know many children prefer to bring in a packed lunch.
Please ensure that your child's packed lunch contains healthy options and a good mix of different food groups. There are some useful websites you can access to find out more about creating a healthy packed lunch:https://www.nhs.uk/healthier-families/recipes/healthier-lunchboxes/

Please ensure you are only sending your child to school with water as a drink with their packed lunch. Please ensure all food items in their packed lunch are nut fee as we have a number of children in school with severe nut allergies.
