Getting in touch with a member of school staff

There are several ways that you can get in touch with a staff member:

Face to face in mornings

• Every morning there is a member of the school leadership team on the top Key Stage 1 gate, and the bottom Key Stage 2 gate. You can pass a message to the class teachers via these adults.
• For Reception and Year 1 children, you will hand your child over to an adult from their class who you can speak to briefly.
• For Year 2, there is one member of the Year 2 team outside in the mornings.

Face to face after school

• Class teachers in all year groups dismiss children to parents/carers at the end of the day. You can catch the class teacher for a brief chat then.

Phone calls and emails

• Call or email the office to pass a message to the class teacher or member of the leadership team, to ask to arrange a meeting or to ask the teacher to call you.
• Call or email the office before 2.30pm to report any changes in pick up arrangements.

Staying up to date with what is happening in school

Our calendar, newsletters and letters pages are where to find up to date information about what is happening in school or upcoming events.

Our class pages contain termly learning overviews, so you can see what your child is learning this term.

Parents' Evenings

We have three parents' evenings through the year:

• Early in Term 2 (mid November)
• Term 4
• Mid Term 6

The week before these meetings we will send you a summary of your child's attendance and attainment (Term 2 and Term 4 meetings) or their end of year report (Term 6 meeting).

Trips and Assemblies

Volunteering to help on trips, joining us for seasonal song shares or other performances, or coming along to PSA events are all great ways to get a sense of school life. We warmly invite parents/carers of children receiving certificates to our weekly celebration assemblies at 9.05am on Friday mornings. We love having you in school to celebrate your child with you!
